About Geni
From beauty professional to business systems strategist.
I'm Geni Roy—an entrepreneur, digital marketing and AI consultant, business systems strategist, and the personality behind Girl Genius. My whole career has been about people: understanding what they need, helping them feel confident, and building something that lasts.
Roots in the beauty industry
I started in the beauty industry, where I learned that real success is built on relationships, trust, and showing up consistently. That work taught me how to read people, how to sell without selling out, and how to help someone feel like a better version of themselves.
26+ years building from home
For more than 26 years I've built home-based businesses and worked in network marketing—sales, training, team building, and the unglamorous work of keeping a business running day after day. I know what it feels like to wear every hat and still feel like you're falling behind.
The turn toward AI and systems
Technology kept changing the game, and I refused to be left out of it. I started applying AI and smart systems to the same problems I'd been solving for decades—lead response, follow-up, customer experience, and the busywork that eats a business owner's day. The tools changed. The principles didn't.
Built for Gen X—and anyone who feels late to the party
I speak especially to Gen X entrepreneurs who want to participate confidently in the AI economy without becoming a tech expert. If you didn't grow up with this stuff, that's not a weakness. Your experience, your relationships, and your judgment are exactly what the technology needs to be useful.
Legacy isn't about what you accumulate. It's about what you teach, what you create, and what you make possible for the people who come next. That's the work I care about most.
What I believe
Four principles I build everything around.
Opportunity shouldn't be reserved for the tech-fluent.
You don't need to have grown up with technology to build something bigger. You need the right strategy, systems, and support.
A good system makes the human experience better.
Automation should deepen connection, not dilute it. The best systems protect the moments that matter.
Building a business should create freedom, not chaos.
If your business is running you, something's broken. Systems exist to give you hours back and clarity forward.
Legacy is built through what we teach, create, and make possible.
The income matters. But what lasts is the knowledge you pass on and the doors you open for others.
